Forever catching up

 Well finally the southern Shorebird migration has begun. I caught a Marbled Godwit feeding the the mudflats on Plum Island. Also exciting news, a pair of Bobolinks bred at Belle Isle for the first time. Bringing the breeding species in the reservation up to 39 species.

                                           Saltmarsh Sparrows. These guys had a rough year, the 12.5 foot tides in the middle of July wiped out most of not all of their nests from what I could tell.
