Golden-crowned Kinglets

A small flock of Golden-crowned Kinglet's flew through Camp Nihan around dusk. These tiny songbirds were actively fly catching small gnats around the edge of the pond.

Saw-whet Owl & Juvie Redtail

While looking for Crossbill's someone found a Northern Saw-whet, it was about 30 feet up in a pine. Always cool to see outside of banding, although I must admit being less blown away than the other 2 people I was with. Also a juvenile Red-tailed Hawk allowed for a close approach.
