There has been am adult Little Blue Heron hanging around Belle Isle for the past week plus. A really beautiful bird. Since I have been at the reservation we have only had immature birds. The large crowds of Egrets and Herons have started to build in numbers, around 60-100 birds each morning.

Babies & Migration
The shorebirds are starting to trickle in, meanwhile a number of our local breeding species are well on their way into fledgling their first broods.
